Guided tour

There's a lot to OneStopPolitics.com.au and we want you to get the best from what we believe to be the best Australian political website on the internet, so we have created a brief guided tour.

The tour will go into a little more depth on our main sections: Comment, Live feeds, Videos, Forums and Resources and Links.

Comment

OneStopPolitics.com.au was founded to gather the best Australian commentary and analysis on the Web, so that's what you'll find on our home page. To help you find just what you're interested in, we have divided it all up into Federal politics, State and local politics, Markets, World and Editorials.

If you want to read more, hover your mouse over Comment in the menu at the top of the site, and choose the section you're looking for. Click and you'll find a week's worth of commentary on Federal politics, State and local politics, Markets, World or Editorials.

Live Feeds

You've probably noticed that politicians and governments have a lot to say. Problem is, they don't say it all at one time or all in one place. So keeping up with speeches, press releases, interviews and the rest can be a full-time job. In fact, as we discovered when building this site, you could be on the internet 24 hours a day and still never keep up with the flow of information.

But we invented the solution. Thanks to some very sophisticated software and a lot of hard work, we have found ways to simply and automatically keep track of this tsunami of information through our live feeds - exclusive to OneStopPolitics.com.au.

- Political news: The latest Australian political news from around the Web, updated every minute of every day. If it's happening in Australian politics, you're reading about it on OneStopPolitics.com.au

- Political Twitter: What are you doing right now? That's the simple idea behind the wildly popular social networking site Twitter. Many of Australia's top politicians, including Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull, have embraced Twitter to update the world on their thoughts, their plans and their opinions.

But never have the instant musings of Australia's politicians been gathered in one place at one time, and then updated 24 hours a day. Until now. Find out what Australia's politicans are thinking and saying at this very moment.
 - Political blogs: Keep up with the relentless political commentary and debate constantly going on in the blogosphere, without giving yourself a headache. This is where opinions are made. Find out what the internet thinks, while it's thinking it with our live political blog feed. Only on OneStopPolitics.com.au.

- Political video feed: If they're not Twittering or blogging, Australia's politicians are recording and releasing videos on sites like YouTube. But have you tried keeping track of them all? Now you don't need to, as we're going to do it all for you. Another first for OneStopPolitics.com.au.

- Media release feed: For the first time on the internet, we have gathered together media releases and transcripts from, literally, hundreds of sources, including Federal, state and local leaders and politicians, Federal and state departments, local Government, and parties at national, state and local levels. All updated live and constantly.

Videos

- Featured videos: Our live video feed is great, but not all the great political videos are released by one party or another - often for obvious reasons. So check our Featured videos section for those iconic images that make politics so entertaining. While it is not as comprehensive as our video feed, it is the place to go to relive those magic political 'moments'.

Forums

You've read the informed views of our nation's professional commentators, so why not share your own? Jump into our forums and get involved in a lively and entertaining political debate. All you need to do is register - it's simple and free - and you're in. And if you just want to watch, you don't even need to register.

Resources and links

If you need to know more about a particular politician - a contact email address, a phone number, a recent speech, even their potted history on Wikipedia - then use our handy resources and links centre. You'll also find information about and links to local, state and federal departments and agencies and Australian political parties at all levels.
